There is water on the moon

This was an amazing discovery by NASA and we can learn a lot from it. The water, in form of ice, has probably accumulated over a long period of time. Now scientist can learn a lot about the history of space by the particles in the ice. We found the water because a satellite crashed near to south pole of the the moon punching up at least 26 gallons of water. This was an amazing discovery and NASA is looking forward to finding more about it.

Exit Project

1.) I am most exited about learning a lot about the middle east and how it can affect us here in the U.S. I am very interested in my topic and can't wait to get started

2.) My biggest fear is having to write 10 pages. I have never really written a report this big ever before, but I'm willing to take the challenge.

3.) I hope I can take the information that I learn about and be able to apply that to the real world. I also hope to take the skill of writing a big paper into High School and even college.

4.) I think the most important thing is to not put it off to the last minute. YOu need to manage your time. This will make your piece much better.

Topic 1:

a. I chose global warming. I am very interested in this topic and ways to fix it. It is one of the main problem in our world right now. IT needs to be dealt with.

b.

1. Global Warming really does mean that the earth us warming.

2. Global Warming is caused by fossil fuels reflecting off clouds and emiting harmful gases into the atmosphere.

3. Global diming is the opposite of global warming.

4. It is believed that global dimimg caused the droughts in ethiopia in in the 70s and 80s.

5. The northern hemisphere oceans weren't warm enough to allow rain formation.

6. Global diming is hiding the true power of global warming.

7. Many countries have disagreed with the idea of global warming in the past.

8. The idea of global justice has been ignored for many years by richer countries.

9. Only in resent years global warming has been associated with pollution.

10. Carbon emissions have rised dramatically in the last 20 years.

c. I totally could see this becoming my exit project. I am really interested in this topic. I care about it.

d. What are the ultimate affects of global warming?

Topic 2:

a. I chose conflicts in Africa. This topic is one of the more sad and serious topics. I think this is one of those problems that needs to be fixed before we start working on other things.

b.

1. In history there has been 9 million refugees from Africa.

2. Thousands of people have been killed in conflicts like civil wars.

3. If the same incidents were happening in Europe they'd be calling it World War III.

4. For 30 years Eritrea had been fighting to get their independence from Ethiopia.

5. In April 1993 it was finally resolved that Eritrea got it's independence.

6. AIDS has killed more people in Africa than war or battles.

7. There is a group in Africa name Niger Delta located in Nigeria. They are environmentalists and human rights activists.

8. Most of the conflict in Africa are about basic resources like water.

9. Over 50,000 died in human rights violations in Sierra Leone.

10. Most of these conflicts are not helping the economy which is already not so hot.

c. I could not see myself doing this topic because I am not very interested in it.

'10,000 Fewer Children Dying Every Day'

This could be an interesting topic. Malaria is a huge killer especially in Africa. I am interested in it because think i can make a difference. I had no idea that the Malaria situation is getting much better especialy with children under five. What are some ways that people can contribute to the cause.

Article 2:

Africa Drought 'Worst in Decades'

This could be very interesting because these are some big reasons why Africa has so many problems. I didn't know that a lot of animals are just wasting away because of these enormous droughts. What else is being affected by these droughts?
